Annual Sports Day:

Vignana Jyothi Public School celebrated Annual Sports Day on 26th Nov 2011 at Municipal Play ground, Ameerpet, Hyderabad. Dr. K.V.Ramana Chary, I.A.S, Principal Secretary, Endowment Dept. A.P. Secretariat was the Chief Guest. Renowned Badminton player and Arjuna awardee Sri Chetan Anand was the Guest of Honour, along the President of Vignana Jyothi Dr. D.Rama Naidu, Dada Saheb Phalke Awardee. The General Secretary of Vignana Jyothi Dr. D.Nageswara Rao and Chairman of School Advisory Committee Sri P.Hanumantha Rao Graced the occasion, along with them – a good number of other guests, parents, ex-students and students. They gave their contribution in aking this day a benchmark for the school.

The programme started when all the dignitaries set on the Dias. Our school students of all the houses (Brahmaputra, Narmada, Krishna & Ganga) presented a well coordinated March fast and showed their respect to the Guests.

 

And this colourful programme followed by the Prayer song, performed by the students of class***, then after Flag hoisting. Our respected Principal gave the warm Welcome speech and presented the school report.

Oath was taken by the participants followed by the lightened up the Sports torch. And then the speech given by all our dignitaries Sri Ch.Venkateswara Rao, Sri P.Hanumantha Rao, Dr.D.Nageswara Rao, Sri Chetan Anand (Arjuna awardee), Dr. K.V.Ramana Chary I.A.S was very effective, motivating and heart touching. Guest of Honour declares sports meet opening, followed by Releasing of the balloons and pigeons, which covered the occasion with full of joy and beauty.

Events Commenced:

The Cute and twinkling stars of our school the kids of LKG and UKG, presented the beautiful drill with flowers which gave the good start to the event. Followed by the Juniors-Boys & girls Running Race Finals.

The Flower-sticks drill presented by the I and II class students was beautiful and appreciating. Followed by the Seniors-Boys & girls Running Race Finals.

The III and IV class students presented the beautiful and colourful Hoops Drill gave the attraction to the event. Then the Seniors Relay Race for boys, motivated the students to take part in sports and increased the sports-spirit.

The Jingling and well-synchronized Lezium-Drill with various formations, presented by the Class V and VI was beautiful. Then followed by Seniors Relay Race for girls, was the good encouragement to all the girls to take part in all kinds of games. The self-defending tricks showed by the Taekondow students was really appreciating and motivating.

Physical exercise for the physical fitness with the mind freshening Music, the Aerobics presented by the girls of Class VII to X, cheered the crowd. And the Pom-Pom Drill with the excellent synchronization performed by the boys of class VII to X was awesome.

And various games were arranged for the parents, with full of sports-spirit a good number of parents participated in this event, to encourage the children and won the prizes too.
